A Frightful Puzzle
October 28th, 2009
Edit: Feel free to work on this puzzle for fun, but all the coupons have been redeemed. You can find the answer in the thread at the bottom of this post.
Bribbo awoke to find all his precious belongings and even his GM powers were gone! He began to run frantically around town looking for a GM who might know what to do. He spotted a group of GMs talking to each other.
“I lost my powers!” Bribbo shouted.
“We did too!” They all chimed back.
“We need to figure out what happened, and quickly!” Bribbo said.
Just then, Bribbo noticed a mysterious sheet of paper in his pocket. He unfolded it and began to read it aloud:
“Your gear and powers are gone, but there is a way for you to get them back. Solve this puzzle and you will get your answer. Here are your hints:
Every letter is assigned a number. The numbers are assigned in a specific pattern to the alphabet from a-z.
Because every letter has a number assigned to it, each word has a total value (the numbers of each letter in the word added up).
You will get a couple different words with their total value and it’s up to you to figure out what number is assigned to each letter. It is possible for two letters to have the same number assigned to them, but it is rare.
Once you have figured out what number is assigned to each letter, use that to solve the answer and get your gear and power back!
The final answer has no spaces in between the words.
Here are your words and the numeric value next to each word. Use it to find the pattern of the alphabet and get your answer!

Halloween Puzzle
October 22nd, 2009
Help Bribbo get to his Halloween Party!
Bribbo opened his mail to find an invitation to a Halloween party from all the GMs! So excited, he spent a long time getting his costume together and left his mini house with the directions in his pocket. But when he took a closer look, he realized the directions were a puzzle that he had to figure out in order to get to the party.
Unable to figure out the puzzle, Bribbo decided to just wander around and try and find it, but he couldn’t.

Now it’s up to you to help him get to his party!
Here are the directions he was given:
Every letter is assigned a number. The numbers are assigned in a specific pattern to the alphabet from a-z.

We will give you a couple different words with their total value and it’s up to you to figure out what number is assigned to each letter. No two letters can have the same number assigned to it.
Once you have figured out what number is assigned to each letter, use that to solve the answer and find the party!
The final answer has no spaces in between the words.

Weekend Anagram Puzzle
October 9th, 2009
For this weekend I decided to go with an anagram.
This turned out to be pretty tricky, so good luck!
Here’s the anagram:
GET WEAK INTERVENE WAX TIRES
Take the words from the sentence above to form a new sentence. The new sentence is the coupon code.
Here are your hints:
1) The new sentence is 4 words.
2) The new sentence has to do with what is to come!
3) Updated: The letters for each word do not remain in the same order that they are used in. For example, the letter ”G” in the first word does not have to be in the first word of the answer to the puzzle.
To enter the coupon code go to outspark.com/redeem. Log in. Make sure you include spaces between the words.
Also the coupon code is not case sensitive and has no punctuation.
The prize: The coupon will award you with 2,500 Spark Cash that CANNOT be used to gift. The coupon can be redeemed 25 times before it expires. It also expires 10/19 in case it hasn’t run out by then.

Guess the Game 2
September 29th, 2009
The last puzzle in this format was a little too easy so I did my best to make it harder to look things up. A few answers are easier than others and you will be able to find information online. However, for the majority of them, any form of search–besides in game–will not help you.
For this puzzle each number is related to only one of four possible Outspark games: Fiesta, Solstice, Windslayer, or Project Powder. It is your job to figure out which game the number is related to.
When you have figured out what the number relates to, use the first letter of the game as part of the coupon. For example, if you believe the first number relates to Fiesta, then the first letter of the coupon will be “F”, then if you believe the second word relates to Project Powder, the second letter of the coupon will be “P”.
If a number does not relate to any of the 4 games listed then the code for the coupon is “N” for that word. For example if you believe the third number does not relate to any of the 4 games listed, then the third letter of the coupon is “N”
The coupon is ten characters long, in the order of words given, and can only contain the letters, F, W, S, P, or N (The first letter of each game: Fiesta, Wind Slayer, Secret of the Solstice, Project Powder, or None)
Let’s go!
Which Outspark game is attributed to each number?
1. Other NPC
2. Shoes of Ray
3. Deadly Blow
4. Red Toe Pants
5. Xam Ssor Hteb
6. Bonus damage at every 5 stats
7. Frontslider
8. “Hey~you! Countrified looking ~ I supply the best goods for the nobles who know the value of the brand”
9. “*Sigh* what do you need today?”
10. “Oh…you don’t know anything about fashion…terrible.”
The prize is 4,000 SparkCash and there are a total of 25 redeems available before the coupon runs out.
THE SYSTEM WILL NOT LET YOU GIFT WITH THIS SPARKCASH. This Spark Cash is for you and any of your friends you are working with and put in the code on their account. You will NOT be able to purchase an item and gift it to someone else with this Spark Cash.
Remember that the coupon code is NOT case sensitive, so it doesn’t matter whether you use caps or not when entering it in.

Weekend Super Impossible Puzzle!
September 25th, 2009
It’s Friday and I’m in the mood for a Super Impossible Puzzle over the weekend.
For today’s puzzle, I’d like to reward those that have more experience with more than one Outspark game. Therefore you guys will be given 10 different words. Each word is related to only one of four possible Outspark games: Fiesta, Solstice, Windslayer, or Project Powder. It is your job to figure out which game the word is related to.
When you have figured out what the word relates to, use the first letter of the game as part of the coupon. For example, if you believe the first word relates to Fiesta, then the first letter of the coupon will be “F”, then if you believe the second word relates to Project Powder, the second letter of the coupon will be “P”.
If a word does not relate to any of the 4 games listed then the code for the coupon is “N” for that word. For example if you believe the third word does not relate to any of the 4 games listed, then the third letter of the coupon is “N”
The coupon is ten characters long, in the order of words given, and can only contain the letters, F, W, S, P, or N (The first letter of each game: Fiesta, Wind Slayer, Secret of the Solstice, Project Powder, or None)
Let’s get started
Which word relates to which game?
1. Johabriner
2. Grandma Myzen
3. Etafis
4. Crazy Old Man
5. Eisen
6. Apeline
7. Arcarinas
8. Gangdalf
9. Magic Ball
10. Swagger
Oh the prize?
Yeah, hmm what’s appropriate this time. The last super impossible weekend puzzle took you guys about 48 hours to get 5 redeems done, and that involved a lot of math and guessing. This one doesn’t seem quite as hard as the last one before the hints were given so I will lower the prize a little and add more redeems.
The prize is 5,000 SparkCash and there are a total of 20 redeems available before the coupon runs out.
