We try to make buying SparkCash (and premium in-game items) as easy as possible, but from time to time we hear from people interested in more payment options. The good news is that we’re always looking for new partners and better ways for you all to get in-game goodies.

If you want to get SparkCash but don’t have a credit card or don’t want to sign up for a PayPal account, check out these three options:

1. Buy a Visa Gift Card at your local grocery store, drug store or bank

These cards are easy to find and can be loaded with various amounts of money. Click here to visit Visa.com and view a list of Gift Card retailers.

Once you have the card, read the instructions on the back and follow any steps necessary to register it for online use. Visit the SparkCash page at Outspark.com and select ClickandBuy as your payment option.

Select the credit card option and enter your gift card number to complete the purchase.

2. Buy an Ultimate Game Card at a Wal-Mart or Rite-Aid near you

These are another type of prepaid card and can be used to buy SparkCash via the PayByCash service. Visit the SparkCash page, choose the amount you would like to purchase, and choose “Ultimate Game Card” as the payment option.

Follow the instructions to complete your purchase.

3. Send money via mail using PayByCash

PayByCash also offers the option to mail in cash. They do charge a fee for this service, so we recommend choosing it if the previous two options are not feasible for you.

Start by visiting the SparkCash page. Choose “Cash (through the mail)”, enter your address and telephone number, and mail the money to PayByCash. Once it has been received, PayByCash will notify Outspark and we will credit your account.

Be aware that this process can take a week or more.

We hope this helps! For more an even more detailed explanation, visit the following link:

We had the pleasure of meeting with the fine folks at Allakhazam during the 2008 Game Developers Conference last Month to talk about Outspark, our games and plans for the future. They recently published the writeup and we encourage you to take a look!

Allakhazam & Outspark at GDC 2008

Some highlights:

It was great to hear about the time focused on their games being a service, not a boxed product that, once you buy you as a consumer, have no other interaction with the company. All too many times MMOers are forced to deal with this type of publisher and developer attitude and companies like Outspark seem to be bringing the service portion of our games back to us.

Creating a play environment which is safe and playable for all players, regardless of age, is something they’re committed to. Helping Outspark in this goal is the fact that their staff is made up of Americans who both live and work in the market to which they’re providing this service. The unique challenges that must be undertaken to assure that all laws and operating procedures are easier when your entire staff is on the same page. That Outspark takes understanding their market and supplying a well defined and directed service across all areas of operation is something that truly warms my heart. All too often we see games being published in other countries without any sort of localization, poor or understaffed customer service teams, and little to no translation, and it shows! These games are not like that.

GDC 2008: Outspark! (Allakhazam)

The luck of the Irish (or something equally mischievous) is having a strange effect on the Outspark community…Shamrocks are growing in Isya, crafty Leprechauns are popping up in Xen and Benji is sprucing up his kitchen with plenty of green decorations. Here are some of the goodies available for St. Patrick’s Day:

Fiesta players, get your very own four-leaf clover now in the Fiesta Store! This fashionable headgear gives a bonus to STR, END, INT, and SPR and lasts for seven (7) days. A St. Patrick’s quest is also available. Talk to Guard Captain Shutian in Elderine to get started. Click here to view St. Patrick’s Day events in Fiesta.

Secret of the Solstice players, check out the game’s limited-edition Leprechaun pet! This little guy will follow you around and gives +100 HP. We’ve also released the Shillelagh (a large club used for fighting) and Shamrock emoticons (they give +50 hp). All are available in the Secret of the Solstice Store starting tonight. Help Patty recover his lost charms in the St. Patrick’s Day quest! Visit the Guild Plaza in Brynhilld to get started.

We haven’t forgotten Bread ‘n Butter, either. The game features cool new green decorations that are on sale - 20% off until March 17! Check out the decked out bakery below, or even get some cool frog-themed decorations including a pond floor complete with lily pads!

Last month, Bread ‘n Butter celebrated Valentine’s Day by offering the game’s top bakers a special prize! Our resident BnB expert, Kutsu, recently interviewed nozbne, the winner of the contest (and a shiny new Nintendo DS Lite).

1. Where do you live?
I live in Australia (delivery must have cost alot :P)

2. How old are you?
I’m 18 and currently a uni student (my holidays have ended >.<, I'll be on less frequently)

3. How did you find out about Bread ‘n Butter?
A regular check of the outspark website brought me to this cute and delicious looking game

4. What’s your favorite mini game and why?
My favourite mini game is the cookie cutter game. It makes me think and memorize the next cookie shape I need.

5. What is the longest session of BnB you’ve played in one sitting?
My longest time on will probably be 4~5 hours while I was trying to slow down unknown989 from catching up.

6. What new features would you like to see in BnB’s future batches?
I would like to see the Quest feature added to sometimes get away from the monotony of looking after the bakery. Also maybe add the rogue chocolate chip in the whisking game.

7. Any other information, comment or message you want to share?
Thanks for a great event and I can’t wait for Batch 2 to come at last. I’ll be on less so all those aspiring bakers will be able to catch up and even take 1st place =D
Have fun Baking ^^
