Coupled with yesterday’s release of a brand new game web site, we’re excited to make Secret of the Solstice available to everyone with the launch of the Open Beta!

For those not already familiar with the game, Secret of the Solstice is a free massively multiplayer online role-playing title with a classic feel featuring hundreds of gorgeous environments filled with fanciful creatures. Aspiring heroes have access to hundreds of in-game quests and different items for customizing their character.

As always, our team of friendly and attentive game masters interact directly with players on a daily basis via live in-game events including monster battles, player-versus-player content and much more. Also unique is the role these in-game events play in the evolution of the game storyline; as players, your actions directly affect the game’s future! Win battles and you’ll progress and earn fame and fortune.

As with other Outspark games, community is a core element in Secret of the Solstice. Our crew of friendly game masters will be operating dynamic in-game events like monster battles, games and contests, but with a twist: participants contribute to the evolution of the game storyline! Your success in battle will directly affect the future of Xen, so join the adventure today!

If you guys missed it, on Monday Dec 3 we held a GM guild war. It was large battle with many guilds fighting the GM guild “Inspark” at the same time. In the end the GM Guild was able to prevail as winners. Follow the link below to the forum post to contribute to the discussion about the event.

Calling all online game developers - do you have an awesome title in the works and want to connect with a great community of players and a visionary publisher? If so, come talk to us!

We’re excited to announce the 2007 Outspark Online Game Competition, during which we hope to discover a talented development partner with a game already in development and work together to bring the title to our rapidly growing virtual playground.

Interested in submitting your game? Keep these important points in mind:

1. The game must be in the prototype stage or based on an existing game engine
2. It must support online multiplayer play and include plenty of community features
3. The game must include a commercialization method (e.g. item sales or subscription)
4. Accessibility to players of all ability levels is a must
5. The game must come in a globally acceptable format (e.g. Flash or a downloadable client)

Last week Fiesta received its biggest content update yet, which added a ton of cool new items to the Fiesta Store including mounts, pets, costumes and houses! Interested in some new goodies for your character but not sure what to buy? We’ve pulled gathered a list of images for you to take a look.
